Designing Community Experiences

I am dedicated to curating extraordinary experiences and seamlessly merging creativity with strategy, with a deep passion for crafting memorable community engagements. I’m enthusiastic about the opportunity to share my expertise.

Chicago Latinx Tech Week

Spearheaded the planning and delivery of the event series, Latinx Tech Week Chicago. LTWC celebrated the contributions of Latinx professionals in the Chicago technology ecosystem and highlighted the opportunity the Tech industry could provide for generations to come.

The events took place from March 20, 2023, to March 24, 2023, in collaboration between a group of leading organizations in the Chicago Tech industry: Latinas in Tech, Techqueria, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), UIC Break Through Tech Chicago Representative Melissa Hernandez, City Colleges of Chicago, World Business Chicago, 1871, and TechNexus.

Whether you were a student, recent graduate, or seasoned professional, Latinx Tech Week was a great opportunity to learn about the tech industry and explore career opportunities and advancement.

Latinas in Tech

Skilled event manager who increased virtual event attendance by 10% through strategic promotional oversight. Managing an extensive calendar of 80+ annual events, including an in person Summit in San Francisco and a virtual career fair with over 700 attendees, allowed me to refine my skills in content programming, digital promotion, and stakeholder communication. One of my standout achievements was crafting a meticulously planned annual sponsorship package, which is projected to generate an additional profit of $150,000 for Latinas in Tech.

Latinas in Tech Summit

Oversaw virtual Event Content for workshops and fireside chats of the 2022 Latinas in Tech Summit. Lead the content programming and stakeholder communication, with organizations such as Warner Bros. Discovery, Zillow, Intuit, Salesforce, Workday, Netflix, Sonos and more

Luminarias Campaign

In my role as project manager, I played a key role in facilitating the collaboration between Latinas in Tech, a non-profit organization, and Korbel@ California Champagne for the launch of Luminarias. This virtual art exhibition celebrated 30 Latina changemakers in STEM, featuring them as individual NFT portraits in an immersive VR gallery. Notably, all proceeds from the NFT sales were dedicated to supporting Latinas in Tech’s mission. To learn more click here

Paying It Forward: Woman’s History Month Series

I dedicated the month of March to celebrate Women’s History Month through our transformative event series, ‘Paying It Forward.’ As the Project Manager and Business Development Main Point of Contact, my mission was to create a dynamic space where women could immerse themselves in a five-part exploration of essential topics, fostering inspiration and growth in every facet of their lives.

From March 25 to March 29, I led a series of virtual events from 6-7pm CST, delving into crucial themes such as financial literacy, the art of self-reflection through journaling, mental health and wellness, and the power of authentic personal branding. These carefully curated events were designed to provide a transformative experience, promoting empowerment and understanding in both professional and personal realms. ‘Paying It Forward’ in someone’s career or personal life embodies the spirit of reciprocity, and as the lead of this initiative, I encouraged individuals to share knowledge, support, and opportunities to uplift others. During Women’s History Month, our aim was to create a ripple effect of empowerment, where the wisdom gained from our events could be passed on, fostering a community of strong, confident, and successful women.

The culmination of our series ended with an in-person entrepreneurship panel, sponsored by Topo Chico, Yessi’s Dulce’s and Big Mich, which I organized, bringing together women entrepreneurs, leaders, and organizations from all over Chicago.
